Fei earns good money in the big city, by having paid sex with men. The money is much needed to support his poor rural family, who hypocritically want nothing to do with his sexuality but are more than happy to accept the money. When a potential new lover enters his life, at the same time as his former lover who he had left under dramatic circumstances comes back into his life, the whole charade starts to derail.
