Beautiful quest for spirituality, roots, and sexual identity
English and Mi’kmaq
When late-teenager Link and his half-brother, on the run from his toxic and abusive father, discover that Link’s indigenous Mi’kmaw mother might still be alive, they decide to go find her.
When trouble hits, they are helped by the openly two-spirited powwow dancer Pasmay, who turns out to be much more than just a helping hand - also a guide to discovering their indigenous roots, Link’s sexuality and place in the world.
A heart-warming, beautiful film where authenticity shines through, in the direction and superb acting.
