In 1977 Andalusia, Miguel’s ambitions to become a professional singer were brought to a halt when he was arrested for being gay. This injustice forces Reme, Miguel’s mother, to finally confront her own traditional views.
Together, mother and son join a motley crew of gay, lesbian and trans activists in the fight for homosexuality to finally be decriminalized, in this moving tribute to the activists who paved the way for Spain’s LGBTQ+ rights movement.
