Born in the 1950s, Genesis P-Orridge grew up breaking the rules. It did not take long for Genesis to change their name and push for more subversive art. By the 1970s, they became iconic in the British avant-garde and punk scene.
Placing sexuality, gender, and identity directly into their art, Genesis became a national figure, hated by conservatives, but never wavering from their conviction: that Control, all the imposed restraints and conditioning of society, must be short-circuited. And it's the job of the artist to touch the bare wires together.
The film gives an opportunity to learn about the legendary life of a queer icon.
