A film in which Matthijs investigates why he has been burdened all his life by the paralyzing uncertainty about the size of his penis.

In Short Dick Man, Matthijs examines why he has been burdened with crippling uncertainty about the size of his penis all his life. Matthijs avoids places like urinals and locker rooms and dares not walk around in swimming trunks on a hot summer day. He only wears loose fitting clothes, abstains from all dating apps and when having sexual contact he always issues a disclaimer beforehand. How did this insecurity play such an all-important role in his life, and more importantly, how does he get rid of it?

After years of fear and shame, Matthijs finally wants to look the beast in the mouth. He has had enough. In an ultimate attempt to accept his body, Matthijs starts treatment with a psychologist, relives memories that have contributed to his insecurity, and seeks to confront the issue. Gradually, Matthijs discovers that the problem is much bigger than himself. And however vulnerable his quest may be, this film may be the last disclaimer he ever has to issue.
