ROZE FILMDAGEN DURING QUEER & PRIDE AMSTERDAM 2023:

From July 22nd to August 6th, Queer & Pride Amsterdam 2023 will be celebrated. Colorful activities and events will take place throughout Amsterdam for two weeks. Roze Filmdagen (Pink Film Days) also contributes and presents highlights from the previous festival, along with a premiere of a fantastic love triangle drama. All cinema films are in English or have English subtitles. Happy Pride!

These are the winners of the Roze Filmdagen Awards 2023

AMSTERDAM - The 26th edition of Pink Film Days ended last night. From Wednesday 22 March to Sunday 2 April, film enthusiasts from all over the Netherlands were able to enjoy no fewer than 152 films from 40 countries. We look back with great pride and joy on this 26th edition, in which we have been able to reach an even larger and more diverse audience through the broad programming of LGBTQ+ films, documentaries and shorts.

Hivos presents special documentary Behind the Numbers

Tonight (March 23) the documentary 'Behind the Numbers' will premiere during Roze Filmdagen. In the film we follow an intersex person from Zimbabwe, a lesbian couple from Bangkok and a trans person from the Netherlands, who all encounter the same barriers of heteronormative society for different reasons.

World premiere Uit 't leven at Roze Filmdagen

According to figures from 113 Suicide Prevention, the number of suicide attempts among gay, lesbian and transgender people is four to ten times higher than in the general population. Yet talking about this seems to be a taboo within the LGBTIQ+ community. Documentary maker Tim Dekkers and screenwriter Henk Burger want to break through that.

Indian movie A Place of our Own wins Hivos Free to be Me Award

The award distinguishes a film that contributes to acceptance and visibility of the LGBTQ+ community.

JOYLAND OPENS 26th EDITION OF ROZE FILMDAGEN
