Roze Filmdagen 2025 opens with 'All for One'
From March 19 until March 30 2025, Het Ketelhuis in Amsterdam will, like every year, focus entirely on LGBTQ+ films from all over the world. As the largest and longest-running LGBTQ+ film festival in the Netherlands, Roze Filmdagen once again offers a wide and inclusive range of around 120 films, documentaries and short films with an LGBTQ+ context. And this context it feels is necessary. In times when the discourse around the LGBTQ+ community is narrowing and the safety of LGBTQ+ people is increasingly less evident, the festival proudly offers a strong program of queer storytelling that touches upon the entire community.
A good example of queer storytelling for the entire community is the French opening film 'All for One' by director Houda Benyamina. 'All for One' is a gender bender action comedy for the entire queer family that tells the 'true' story of the three musketeers with a wink. With an entertaining feminist approach, three women literally hold their own when it turns out that they are the three musketeers who have to protect the Queen of France. Pure entertainment, in addition to the entertaining fight scenes, several connections have been made to the current time and discussions around stereotypical gender roles.
Ticket sales for Roze Filmdagen 2025 start on March 3
