The presenter of the awards show, Annefleur Schipper (program maker / Lesbian League podcast) announced the results on March 24 at Het Ketelhuis.
The awards went to seven filmmakers, in various categories: jury awards, audience awards and the nominee for the Iris Prize. Two days earlier, on Friday, the winner of the Hivos Free to be Me Award 2024 was celebrated. Next to that, Roze Filmdagen organized a film writing competition.

JURY AWARD BEST SHORT FILM
F**KED – SARA HARRAK
From the jury report:
“The art of short film making is definitely an art form in and of itself, where restraint is key. With a limited amount of time, every second counts to bring the filmmaker’s point across. The winner of this year is nothing but a masterclass in this. With just two protagonists, one rather mundane location, and with the help of one comic relief character it manages to pack a mighty punch."
JURY AWARD BEST DOCUMENTARY FILM
CHASING CHASING AMY – SAV RODGERS, VS
From the jury report:
"The power of film is that it can reach deep into people’s lives, like few other forms of media can. That is certainly the case with Chasing Chasing Amy. We’re witnessing the touching, deep love story of the filmmaker and his life partner."
JURY AWARD BEST FEATURE FILM
SPECIAL MENTION:
OLD NARCISSUS – TSUYOSHI SJÔJI, JAPAN
From the jury report:
"This film manages to transport a theme from Western mythology into an Eastern setting, while at the same time drawing upon its own unique visual language."
BEST FEATURE FILM:
TODO EL SILENCIO – DIEGO DEL RIO, MEXICO
From the jury report:
“This masterful drama from Mexico offers a chance for all of us to think about where we stand. How well would our own convictions and principles hold up when push comes to shove? A question that is all the more relevant in today’s world."
