The air of a Brooklyn summer night is thick with heat and possibility, and young student Adnan, who is taking care of an apartment over the summer, is determined to make the most of that. He meets food delivery cyclist Yariel. First over an app and then in the park.

Their hookup is swift and almost without words, but afterwards they do share a leftover box of Pad Kee Mao noodles on a bench. As we see Adnan’s various meetings with other men, we slowly get to know his inner world as well.

Director Lucio Castro (known for Fin de Siglo, 2020) confidently blends frank sexuality with magical realism in a clever story about fleeting connections and their long effects.
