In March 2025, Deniz Arikan was the winner of the 2nd Roze Filmdagen film competition and received an amount of money to realise his short film project. Now, a year later, we proudly present this film during the 29th edition of the festival.
Daniel, a resident of modern Rotterdam, completed from scratch after the war, accompanies Emre, a visitor from the remarkable metropolis of Istanbul. Their exchange gradually shifts from architecture to space for intimacy. In his largely resonant and partly personal debut, Deniz Arikan explores the relationship between urbanity, history and individual freedom.
